Selecting high-grade raw materials is the essential foundation for producing a high-performance product. This principle led us to collaborate with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Brescia to identify and analyze optimal alloys for shotgun barrel manufacturing.
Over time, we have consistently invested in research and testing, partnering with specialized laboratories to execute tensile strength testing, technical trials, and material analyses. This effort allows us to select materials that guarantee high mechanical resistance, machining accuracy, and long-term reliability.
All raw materials used are certified and fully traceable, ensuring zero heavy metal contaminants (such as lead) in compliance with environmental safety standards.
Our fixed chokes are formed via gentle cold-hammering to increase material toughness in the high-stress muzzle area during firing. This technique enables us to reduce wall thickness, keeping overall barrel weight to a minimum.
Furthermore, given the growing demand for barrels suitable for steel shot, we have introduced a new type of reduced-stress choke, specifically designed for this type of ammunition.
This type of choke allows us to produce barrel tubes without adding extra material thickness compared to standard lead-shot chokes, while fully maintaining the safety requirements of the barrel.
Ballistic testing also shows that using this choke significantly reduces felt recoil.
Through continuous development and recent investments in latest-generation equipment, we have achieved high precision in ballistic engineering: machining threaded seats for thin-walled chokes with micrometric tolerances.
Today, we are able to machine threaded seats for thin-walled chokes with micrometric tolerances.
This complex machining process allows us to significantly reduce the actual weight of the tube, particularly in the muzzle area.
Our chip removal processes and the high toughness of our selected steels ensure the product's structural integrity, safety, and maximum ballistic accuracy.
